June 19: subway, train lines and Bilbao tramway will offer summer timetables
On Monday 19 June, Euskotren, a publicly-owned company of the Basque Government, will start running its summer timetable on all its rail (E1, E2, E3, E4 and E5) and subway (L3) lines. The Bilbao tramway timetable will also change on that day with trams every 15 minutes in both directions.
With the arrival of summer, Euskotren is adapting its service to meet the season’s travel needs. Extra trains will therefore be put on make it easier to travel to the coastal towns with beaches, with more trains in Debabarrena for easier access to Deba beach. There will also be more services at weekends and on bank holidays to Urdaibai (Bilbao-Bermeo line), Kostaldea (Donostia-Zumaia) and on the Topo (San Sebastián’s underground/overground suburban railway) to Donostia/San Sebastián (Irun-/Amara and Altza/Amara).
On Monday 19 June, the train-bus shuttle service between the station and Usansolo Hospital will also change, with the bus arrivals and departures adapted to train times.
